If during the setup stage, one or more of your Zuma devices are not automatically discovered by the app, here are a couple of things you should check first.
Step 1- Check if the units are getting power from the circuit.
If Zuma devices are getting power, you will see the main LED is lit up.
Step 2- Make sure that the status light is flashing purple/green.
During the setup stage, your Zuma will flash purple for 15 minutes.
After that, the device will go into standby mode, with a solid amber light, rendering it undiscoverable by the Zuma app.
Step 3- If any of the units do not have the main LED lit up, or the status light is not flashing purple/green, please follow these steps below:
If there are no main LED lights, your Zuma device or it's power supply unit is not connected to the circuit or the power supply is connected incorrectly. Check the wiring while the circuit is turned off and after checks are carried out, power on the circuit.
If there is no flashing purple/green status light or any other colour is present- Switch off the circuit breaker for the area, wait 10 seconds, then power the area up again.
Make sure you are in close proximity to the devices when performing setup.
Being on the far side of the room might impact the discovery process.
Note: If all Zuma devices are powered on, with a purple/green flashing status light and the Zuma app is still unable to discover the devices, please force close the app, or try a different mobile device/ tablet.
If none of the steps above solved the issue, try rebooting your router/ access point and if the issue still persists, please get in touch with our Support team and we will be more than happy to look into this issue.
